Influenza is unpredictable. While flu spreads every year, the timing, severity, and length of the season varies from one season to another.
William Beaumont Army Medical Center will begin its influenza campaign for the 2023 season on November 1, 2023. The influenza campaign is over when 100% of hospital staff are vaccinated, 100% of Fort Bliss active-duty service members are vaccinated, and all family members and remaining TRICARE beneficiaries receive the vaccine upon request and availability.
Active Duty Service Members:
Active duty and Guard/Reserve members are required to get the flu vaccine.
ADSM’s will have unit flu vaccine drives where commanders can ensure the health and readiness of their troops. If you are active duty, please see your chain of command for this information. Units wishing to do an organizational flu drive, please contact Army Public Health at 915-742-1343.
When you get a flu vaccine from a network-approved pharmacy, follow your Service policy guidance for recording the vaccine in your shot record. You'll need the following information:
- Date the vaccine was given
- Vaccine name or code
- Manufacturer name or number
- Lot number
Active Duty Family Members:
Family members of ADSMs can contact their assigned clinic or primary care clinic by calling the appointment line (915-742-2273) to set up a flu vaccination appointment.

Other Beneficiaries:
Retirees and Veterans can receive the flu vaccine through the El Paso Veterans clinic, their primary care clinic, or through an approved TRICARE network pharmacy.
Flu Vaccine Drives at Freedom Crossing:
The following graphic depicts dates and times of when influenza vaccinations will be made available publicly to TRICARE beneficiaries aged three years old and up. Please be sure to bring your military identification and beneficiary cards.
