Hospital Room Service Procedures:

Room service is available to inpatients only. Visiting family members and guests are welcome to eat at any of the hospital retail foodservice locations located on the 1st Floor of the hospital.

Patients who are unable to call during Breakfast and Dinner Meal periods will be sent a standard food tray as prescribed by their diet as it reads in the electronic health record.

Nursing staff will notify the Nutrition Care Division (NCD) if patients are unable to call for meal service for any reason. NCD will send a standard meal tray in accordance with the patient's diet order.

After Hours Meal Orders: For newly admitted inpatients that require a meal after normal DNM operating hours (7 PM to 6 AM), nursing staff will notify the AOD of request. Box Lunches and Microwaveable food may be issued upon receipt of a patient label. Any special diet request, the AOD will then notify the NCOIC, Clinical Dietetics Branch of patient feeding issue for resolution.

Celebration Menu for New Mothers

William Beaumont Army Medical Center and the Nutrition Care Division would like to congratulate you on your new arrival. In celebration of the new addition to your family, we like to serve our new mothers a very special meal.

Our Celebration Menu has a variety of decadent entrees, desserts and sides to choose from and is accompanied by a bottle of sparkling fruit juice with champagne flutes to toast your new arrival. After reviewing the Celebration menu options, you may select an entrée, two sides, two beverages and a dessert. If your significant other or attending family member wishes to join you, they may purchase a $4.00 meal ticket from a cashier at our dining facility during meal hours and will be offered selections from the same menu so you can dine together.
