Mission
The Public Affairs Office serves as the chief advisor to the commander/command, WBAMC, on public affairs issues/concerns which includes command information, media relations, community relations, and social media to active and retired service members, families and other beneficiaries who receive health care at WBAMC.

Privacy Act Information
The Privacy Act of 1974 (Pub.L. 93–579, 88 Stat. 1896, enacted December 31, 1974, 5 U.S.C. § 552a), a United States federal law, establishes a Code of Fair Information Practice that governs the collection, maintenance, use, and dissemination of personally identifiable information about individuals that is maintained in systems of records by federal agencies.
Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is described as information which can be used to distinguish or trace an individual's identity, such as their name, social security number, biometric records, etc. alone, or when combined with other personal or identifying information which is linked or linkable to a specific individual, such as date and place of birth, mother’s maiden name, etc.
