Gastroenterology Services
Clinic Information
The Gastroenterology Service at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) aims to provide expert and compassionate care to patients suffering from a broad range of gastrointestinal related diseases. The GI clinic offers the study, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal organs including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, pancreas, liver, colon, gallbladder, and the treatment of acute and chronic gastroenterological problems. By working in a multidisciplinary fashion, we are able to provide comprehensive medical care to Active Duty Military Soldiers, Retired or Prior Service Military Veterans, and family members 18 years or older. The endoscopy center is located within the Gastroenterology Clinic on the 2nd floor of the main hospital and outpatient procedures such as esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy are performed here. Other procedures that we perform here at WBAMC include esophageal manometer and pH testing, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) placement, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatoscopy (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR).
We provide educational services to the WBAMC internal medicine residents and interns, as well as medical students from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP), and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso.
The entire gastroenterology team at WBAMC are professionals dedicated to providing excellence in quality gastroenterology care and endoscopy expertise and in so doing, serving the needs of our patients.
