The Nutritional Medicine Clinic provides nutrition education and Medical Nutrition Therapy through group nutrition classes, unit briefings, and individual nutrition appointments.
TRICARE Beneficiaries can self-refer to the Nutrition Clinic. A consult from your Primary Care Manager (PCM) is NOT required to see a dietitian.
The Nutrition Care Division (NCD) has clinics in three convenient locations:
William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC)
Bldg 7777, Room 1112, 1rst Floor, next to the elevators
Take Fred Wilson Ave, turn onto Lazear St, the Hospital is at the end of the road
Mendoza Soldier Family Care Center (East Bliss)
Bldg 11335, 2nd Floor, check-in at Behavioral Health Front desk
Take SGM Blvd, turn left onto SSG Sims St, the building is located on your left
Soldier Family Medical Clinic (Main Bliss)
Bldg 2496, check in at garrison clinic. The clinic is next to the chapel.
Enter through Cassidy Gate, go straight, turn right Jeb Stuart, left on Ricker Rd
Group Nutrition Classes included:
- Army MOVE! (Active Duty Weight Management)
- Civilian/Retiree Weight Management
- Heart Healthy Nutrition
For individuals with Heart Disease, High Cholesterol, Blood Pressure, and/or Triglycerides
- Diabetes Nutrition
For individuals with Diabetes, Pre-diabetes, Impaired Fasting Glucose, or Hyperinsulinemia

Individual nutrition appointments are available for patients who have already attended group classes or who have more specific nutritional needs.
Nutrition briefings are available to units/organizations upon request.

Changes in nutrition and behavior are progressive and require reinforcement. Spouses and/or family members who help prepare meals are welcome and highly encouraged to attend classes and individual appointments with you.
Scheduling follow-up visits after attending a group class or initial nutrition appointment is strongly recommended to help you further individualize your diet and for accountability purposes.
