The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Community Mental Health Services (CMHS)

Community Mental Health Service of WBAMC is organized and functions as a separate hospital professional service. It is located in the Soldier and Family Medical Clinic (bldg. 2496) at the corner of Ricker and Chaffee Roads on Fort Bliss, TX. The CMHS provides general psychiatric, general psychology, and social work services, as appropriate, to maintain the mental health of active duty soldiers. Services include screening and evaluation of personnel referred from all eligible sources, the provision of brief crisis oriented outpatient follow-up, prevention and command liaison/consultation and referral to other treatment sources as necessary.
